Contents of lectures

Model of health, disease, functional disability and disability. Models of the rehabilitation process. The most common clinical syndromes of functional disability. Clinical picture in diseases and injuries of the CNS and needs of patients. The main therapeutic goals in the restoration of motor behavior. Review of methods and importance of robotics and mechatronics in rehabilitation. Monitoring the course and outcome of therapy. The importance of functional assessment and evaluation characteristics in the process of planning therapeutic interventions.

Learning through the implementation of practical tasks in the field of application of methods for assessing functional disability.

Goal

Mastering the fund of knowledge needed to understand the rehabilitation process for persons with functional impairments and disabilities. Developing the creative ability to choose an adequate functional assessment for a specific rehabilitation problem or for a specific therapeutic method.
