The purpose of the study programme of master academic studies of forestry - in the field of forestry is to enable the students to perform all major operations in the forestry sector in the field of business and services and to contribute to the improvement of the current state of forests with their professional work and actions. The purpose of the study programme of master academic studies of forestry - in the field of wood processing is that students amend their knowledge from bachelor studies with specific integrated knowledge and skills and acquire the ability and skills to independently perform tasks and solve complex problems in the field of wood processing in the following segments: wood processing technologies, modeling of wood products, timber trade and wood processing economics and Organiyation, management and design of wood processing enterprises. Also, the purpose of this study program is to give students the opportunity to continue their studies in this field. The purpose of the study programme of master academic studies of forestry- in the field of ecological engineering in the protection of soil and water resources is to enable graduates to independently perform engineering and construction tasks and duties in the area of soil and water resources protection from various forms of degradation, primarily for protection against water and wind erosion and torrential floods. Also, students will be trained to perform tasks and duties for the reclamation of degraded areas and land conservation and the development of ecological models, studies and programmes. The purpose of the study programme of master academic studies of forestry- in the field of landscape architecture and horticulture is educating students for work as responsible managers on operations of planning, urban planning, design, construction works, nature conservation, urban greenery management, protection of ornamental plants, ornamental plants, and for other tasks that may arise from the acquired knowledge and skills.

The aim of the study programme of master academic studies of forestry, wood processing, landscape architecture and horticulture and ecological engineering in the protection of soil and water resources is that students, through theoretical and practical training, acquire the knowledge ability and skills to be fully trained for the jobs of a master engineer in forestry. The main purpose of this study programme is to enable the students to perform all major operations in the forestry sector in the field of business and services and contribute to the improvement and advancement of the current state of forests with their professional work and actions. Master engineers of forestry will be able to manage and use forests and forest land in such a way to preserve biodiversity, but also to keep productivity, regeneration, vitality and potential of forests at the level that will meet the environmental, social and economic needs of present and future generations at both the local and national levels.

Кандидати кроз теоријску и практичну наставу стичу знање, способност и вештину, која им омогућује индивидуалан и тимски рад на следећим пословима у области шумарства: оснивању и гајењу шума; унапређењу и мелорацији шумских површина; пословима заштите шума од штетни абиотичких и биотичких фактора (пожара, полутаната, болести, штеточина и глодара); пословима газдовања шумама (изради шумско привредних основа, планова и програма газдовања укупним природним потенцијалима шумских екосистема); организацији ловишта и израде ловно привредних основа; изради еколошких студија; изради просторних планова; коришћењу дрвета из природних шума, култура и плантажа; овладавању технике и технологије отварања шума и пројектовања шумских саобраћајница; коришћењу других производа шума; пословима стручног руковођења и надзора у заштити природе и животне средине; организацији производње у шумарству и маркетиншким пословима везаним за шумско дрво и споредне шумске производе. Мастер инжењер за прераду дрвета у потпуности је оспособљен за обављање сложених послова у процесима Технологије за прераду дрвеа и то: Примарне прераде дрвета, Финалне прераде дрвета, Хемијско-механичке прераде дрвета, Машина и уређаја за прераду дрвета и Заштите дрвета. Такође, студенти су оспособљени за обављање послова из области Обликовања производа од дрвета, Трговином дрвета и економике прераде дрвета и Организације, управљања и пројектовања предузећа у преради дрвета. Стручна оспособљеност дипломираног инжењера за прераду дрвета омогућава му рад у свим предузећима која се баве прерадом дрвета, производњом намештаја, научно-истраживачким институцијама, у предузећима која се баве консултантским услугама у подручју развоја и унапређења производа од дрвета, пројектовања производних процеса, анализа и истраживања тржишта производа од дрвета, као и обављање послова образовања у средњим стручним школама и спољнотрговинског промета производа од дрвета и заступништва. У току мастер академских студија шумарства област еколошки инжењеринг у заштити земљишних и водних ресурса студенти ће стећи знања која ће им омогућити да обављају послове и задатке: одговорни пројектант радова на заштити земљишта и вода од деградације, а пре с свега од ерозије, објеката за заштиту од бујичних поплава, мелиоарције земљишта, рекултивације дегардираних терена, затим за израду еколошких модела, студија и програма и сл., као и одговорни руководилац радова на изградњи објеката за заштити земљишта и вода од деградације, а пре свега од ерозије, објеката за заштиту од бујичних поплава , мелиоарције земљишта, рекултивације дегардираних терена и сл. Мастер инжењер за пејзажну архитектуру и хортикултуру влада специфичним знањима и вештинама за примену стручно-научних и стручно-уметничких достигнућа у области пејзажне архитектуре и хортикултуре и стиче право на наставак образовања на докторским студијама. Кандидати који заврше master академске студије моћи ће да раде као самостални пројектанти, планери, руководиоци градилишта, производње украсних биљака и стручних служби за заштиту украсних биљака.

Study programmes of master academic studies which have: 1. At least 60 ECTS credits, can be enrolled by the candidates who have previously graduated from bachelor academic studies with a scope of at least 240 ECTS credits; 2. At least 120 ECTS credits can be enrolled by the candidates who have previously graduated from bachelor academic studies with a scope of at least 180 ECTS credits; Persons who acquired higher education according to the regulations which were valid before the enactment of the Law on Higher Education have the right to enroll in master academic studies: • Persons with higher education who graduated from bachelor studies, which lasted for at least 8 semesters have the right to enroll in the master academic studies with a scope of at least 60 ECTS credits. • Persons with higher education who graduated from bachelor studies, which lasted for less than 8 semesters have the right to enroll in the master academic studies with a scope of at least 120 ECTS credits.
