The study program lasts three years or six semesters, and has a total volume of 180 ECTS. The program consists of compulsory courses and two elective block 12 (block B) and 11 elective courses (block V), from which students choose 3 items from block B and two from block V.
The program is designed with the goal to provide students a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge in the safe area, and the acquisition of practical and theoretical knowledge which qualify them to continue conducting scientific research in the field of fundamental fields of biophysics and in the translation of that knowledge into other areas (primarily biomedicine ).
Biophysics PhD program is organized with the aim to provide a wide enough range of theoretical and practical methods to help students successfully engaged in research that are the subject of a doctoral thesis;goal is to introduce the essence and characteristics of scientific theory and practice involved in the research process of those students who are not in the projects, the development of critical thinking and original research approaches; multidisiplinarnih application of acquired knowledge to solve specific practical problems;
Students who complete the program in Biophysics become prepared for the research, development of new methods, work in a multidisciplinary team. Students become prepared to develope basic biophysical results, primarily in biomedicine, neuroscience, designing new drugs, other therapies ( primarily cancer) . On the other hand, the program is primarily focused on exploring experimental techniques and computational models that can be applied in more or less in all research related to biological systems (including, for example, ecology, genetics, development of new instruments, etc.).
Students who complete this program must while working on his dissertation prove that they are able to give results of their work in ways that are at the highest level compared to international standards by publishing at least two papers in journals that are on the list of Web of Science (ISI ).
Students with college and masters degree in related areas with GPA 8 and above are elligible to apply
